Under Secretary-General for Training and Educational Development
Laeticia Kamel is a fourth year Economics student minoring in Psychology and Political Science & International Affairs. Laeticia has been a part of the simulation programs for more than half a decade, beginning in 2014 when she participated in the 9th GCLAU MUN Highschool conference. After winning an award in the local conference, she was selected by LAU to represent Lebanon on a global scale, at the GCI New York conference, where she succeeded in earning a Best Delegate award. Upon entering LAU on a full scholarship, she joined the 12th GC LAU MUN team and continued training for three more years. Her training experience extends to other simulation programs as she also joined the 2nd and 3rd LAU MEU secretariat. These experiences opened the door for international opportunities such as serving as a chair in three GCI New York conferences. Laeticia Kamel spent her last semester in Paris on an exchange program at Sciences Po where she also took part in international conferences and honed her skills as a wine expert. She is currently a part of the World Bank Group’s Lebanese Youth Advisory Group and has interned at several public and private institutions such as the Central Bank, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, private banks, and more. Laeticia is very passionate about literature, debate and world issues which is where she invests most of her time. Lastly, Laeticia is a strong advocate of Youth’s participation in civic engagement activities, especially when it comes to environmental and socioeconomic issues. Laeticia is honored to be serving as Under Secretary-General for Training and Educational Development in the 15th GCLAUMUN.
