Joseph G. Jabbra, Ph. D, took office as President of Lebanese American University (LAU) on August 1, 2004. He is a seasoned academic administrator with experience in institutional accreditation, strategic planning and fundraising, all key areas to LAU’s success as it expands and renews its commitment to its mission. Dr. Jabbra is a scholar and longtime educator. He has taught courses in the areas of political science, law, international relations, public administration, the environment, globalization, and the Middle East. He has, to his credit, published extensively in his areas of specialization, over 12 authored, edited, and co- edited, books, over thirty articles in scholarly and refereed journals, and scores of speeches and public addresses. He came to LAU from Loyola Marymount University, USA, where he had served as academic vice president.
